Welcome to Project SB

With the continued growth of Shreveport / Bossier City Metropolitan Area, the Northwest Louisiana Association of REALTORS® (NWLAR) began considering the need for a comprehensive review and recommendation for real estate and real estate related economic development initiatives for our area. The Urban Land Institute (ULI) of Washington, D.C. has an Advisory Services Task Force program through which they provide sectors for the community that began in 2005 resulting in the planning for "Project SB".

A 5-Day On-Site Panel Study of the Shreveport-Bossier Northwest Louisiana regional area completed by the Urban Land Institute's Advisory Services Task Force who interviewed a cross section of community leaders to find the areas of greatest concern in economic development and real estate-related issues facing our Red River community. The funding for the initiative was provided by private and public entities in a collaborative effort for our Metropolitan Area. The ULI compiled the results of the study into a comprehensive report which they made available to the community. In response, multiple Task Force Groups have been formed to implement many of their recommendations. In order to ensure the success of the implementation phase of this collaborative effort, the grass roots participation of the community is needed as well as the ongoing support of the contributing goverrnmental agencies responsible for the initiative. We urge those of you desiring to participate to complete the Volunteer Response Form and a representative from the Task Force group you designate will contact you.
